Leederville hosts major acrobatic event

The Loftus Recreation Centre in Leederville played host to WA’s first major acrobatic event of the year last month. At the meet gymnasts from the Jednorog Gymnastic Academy in Beckenham earned a place in the State team. They’ll compete in a national competition in Adelaide next October.

The Jednorog academy had 15 gymnasts at the event competing in multiple acrobatic divisions. Two groups achieved results to earn them a berth at the Adelaide nationals.

According to In My Community, academy coach Irina Jednorog was delighted with the result and said the level six women’s trio of Danielle Marchini, Heather Jeffries and Saara Foo won gold.

Level seven’s Nadine de Vries, Aimee Trouchet and Chloe Phillips won the silver medal.
